This was originally sent to my Monday Motivation newsletter—a weekly note designed to help introverted coaches and solopreneurs start their week without hype, pressure, or burnout. I’m sharing it here for anyone who might be questioning their direction (again) and just needs one clear reminder: what you’re building still matters.
You didn’t start your business to go viral. You didn’t start it to scale fast. You started it because the work mattered—to someone. Probably to you first.
That’s worth returning to.
The messy middle will make you doubt it. It’ll ask you to do more, be more, post more. It’ll try to convince you you’re behind. You’re not.
Last week, I caught myself deep in the spiral: comparing my numbers, questioning my decisions, wondering if I should “change direction” (read: scrap everything and start over, again). But before I burned it all down, I asked myself one thing:
Does this still matter to me?
It did. So I kept going.
Here’s your reminder: you don’t have to make it bigger. You just have to make it matter.
- Try This: Write down one thing in your business that feels aligned right now—even if it’s small, even if no one sees it.
That’s your starting point this week. Not some loud strategy. Just that.
