Your Summer Business Plan (That Doesn’t Burn You Out)

ost business plans don’t survive the first heatwave.

You know the ones I’m talking about: the “this summer I’ll finally…” list you scribbled on the back of a notebook when the weather first turned warm. Full of big ideas and tiny timelines.

Then July hits. Energy dips. Life gets louder. Suddenly the plan feels like more weight you’re carrying—not a map that helps you breathe. At least, this has been my past summer experiences.

I have been talking about it all month, but here is a final reminder-summer doesn’t need a full-scale strategy. It needs clarity. And it needs to fit the actual season you’re in—personally and professionally.

That’s why this week, I’m inviting you to write a five-line business plan. Just one sentence for each category below. To make it even easier, simply answer the questions—no more, no less:

Focus
What matters most right now?

Visibility
What’s the simplest way you will stay visible over the summer?

Energy
How will you protect, and manage, your energy?

Boundaries
What is a clear “no” for this season?

Action
What small, steady steps will you prioritize?

That’s your plan.

Not a list of everything you could do. Just what you’re choosing to do.

And if you’ve been following along this month, this works even better if you’ve already used the The Sustainable Summer Planner (available for full access subscribers) or the 5-Minute Business Audit to clear the mental clutter.

Because you don’t need a louder business this summer. You need one that’s aligned—and sustainable.

If this feels like the plan you need this summer, Full Access to Coach’s Corner will help you put it into action.
