A Small December Check-In (And One Question)

Editor’s Note: This post is also shared in my Quiet Start newsletter — my free weekly email for introverted coaches and solopreneurs in the messy middle of business.

What are you looking
forward to?

Joelene Mills

Quick personal update: I’m in that weird December zone where my brain wants to shop for and wrap gifts, clean the house, and start “fresh” in January… all at the same time. Which means I’m doing none of it especially well. Classic.

What holiday (or holiday tradition) are you actually looking forward to this year? Not the “I should do this” stuff. The real one.

For me, it’s all the cozy things: low-key plans, good snacks, rich hot chocolate, and a great book. Simply put: a little block of quiet time where nobody needs anything from me. If I can get one or two evenings with a warm blanket and zero expectations, I’m calling it a win.

If you feel like it, hit reply and tell me yours. I genuinely love reading these. And if you’re having a weird year and your answer is “I’m looking forward to it being over,” that’s also allowed.
